Consultation & Commissioning Process

With the various communities of the hospital, consultation was devised through the placement of two artists in the hospital environment. The artists interviewed many individual representatives of ward staff, medical & clinical staff, and administration & finance staff. In addition the artists ran an open workshop with patients and visitors and then a further two days working with staff, patients and visitors to produce drawings of remembered spaces within the hospital.

Ginkgo was commissioned by the NHS Trust to manage the project. Through open competition, Ginkgo selected two artists to work with them in the development of the Commission Plan.
