Residency Opportunity, National Library of Wales

29 Sep 2007

Call for Artist-in-Residence to be based at the National Library of Wales, Aberystwyth, starting January 2008. Deadline – Friday November 2nd 2007.

The residency will run for a period of 25 out of 52 weeks. A fee of £15,000 is offered with additional budgets for material, documentation and exhibition.

Following the success of the residency with Christine Mills during 2006–07, the National Library of Wales would like to commission a further full year residency to start January 2008. Located in a studio within the National Library, the artist will be given access to the Library’s varied collections. They will also be invited to work with three primary and secondary schools in North, South and Mid-Wales. The artist must have previous arts-education experience and/or a keen interest in working within an education environment. It would be desirable for the artist to speak Welsh.
