Lab Week and Open Day at the Electron Club

The Electron Club are running a public Lab Week and Open Day as part of the Document 5 International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival.
Lab Week: Tuesday 16th to Sunday 21st October, 2007 7pm‐9pm each night. Open Day: Saturday 20th October 2007, 2pm‐5pm.
Admission is free and all are welcome to all events. Come to the Scott Street entrance, First Floor, CCA, 350 Sauchiehall St, Glasgow.
The Lab Week runs in the evenings from Tuesday 16th to Sunday 21st October. There will be free public workshops providing an introduction to Linux and Free Software, opportunities to learn about and participate in some of the projects we have been running and other events.
The Open Day on Saturday 20th October will have presentations, talks, and displays from Electron Club projects and people including: Glasgow Green Map, Engineer Aid, B.R.I.D.G.E, Zero‐Waste Design, and Dorkbot Alba. Come along for homemade cookies, a knitters corner, DIY solar‐powered robotics demo, and more …
The Electron Club is a voluntary run space where people interested in things like free open source software, circuit bending, hardware hacking, computer recycling, streaming, audio and video editing, green technologies, and amateur radio can meet, use equipment, and share and disseminate their skills and ideas. All are welcome.
