  • Call for Submissions: Birds Eye View Film Festival 2008, London

    Submissions sought for the 2008 Birds Eye View Film Festival from women filmmakers from around the globe.

    The Birds Eye View Film Festival 2008 will open on 6 March with six days of shorts, features, documentaries and special events, panels and parties. All events will be held at leading London film venues. Key events will involve celebrity presenters and guest speakers.

  • Opening of Rebelland by Anthony Schrag, GoMA, Glasgow

    Rebelland: Wan Way In, Nae Way Out is an exhibition of new work from the Blind Faith artist and writer in residence programme, at the Gallery of Mdern Art, Glasgow. The exhibition is the culmination of artist Anthony Schrag and writer Magi Gibson’s 6 month Partners Project residency at GoMA, as part of Blind Faith: Human Rights and Contemporary Art – Sectarianism.

    Opening Wednesday 12th December, 7 – 9pm, Gallery of Modern Art, Glasgow. Show runs 13th December 2007 – 10th February 2008.

  • Travelling Gallery celebrates its 30th Birthday

    Scotland’s mobile art gallery celebrates its 30th birthday this year with a new exhibition which, like its very first exhibition, celebrates and explores our relationship with the sea and coastline.

    The exhibition will be launched outside the City Art Centre in Edinburgh on Friday 22 August and start its tour in Penicuik on 23 August. The exhibition together with its award winning education programme will then be visiting schools, colleges and public venues across Scotland until 5 December. Tour dates and venues are posted on the Travelling gallery website.
