Opportunities for all Glasgow based artists to submit proposals and apply for the Anna Löbner Glasgow/Düsseldorf Exchange (Aug / Sept 2010). Deadline: April 2nd 2010.
This opportunity has been supported by culture and sport Glasgow. This residency provides live work space and a stipend for an artist to develop new work in Dusseldorf over the months of August and September 2010. There will be a well publicised exhibition at the end of your stay. WASPS Artists studios invite proposals from all Glasgow based artists to apply for the Anna Löbner Glasgow/ Düsseldorf exchange 2010. The artist Anna Löbner was based at our Hanson Street studios and sadly passed away towards the end of last year. She was instrumental in setting up this inspiring exchange in her home town and it has gone from strength to strength ever since.
The successful artist will spend August and September 2010 in Düsseldorf. On arriving, you will meet a representative from the Kulturamt der Landeshauptstadt (Düsseldorf’s city council) who will introduce you to a number of artists and cultural institutions in the city. An exhibition will be arranged at the end of your stay with the opening night being the 11th September 2010. Invitation cards will be created for the opening night.
The successful applicant will be given a guest studio within the Kunstleforderung at Kulturamt der Landeshauptstadt, in Düsseldorf, Germany, and will be paid a monthly allowance of 750 euros, a budget of 300 euros for materials and an allowance of up to 200 euros for travel. There will be no charge for the living/working space, but the successful applicant is responsible for his/her own living expenses.
